This website, daclassiclady.com, is run by DaClassicLady, the creator behind the @DaClassicLady YouTube and Instagram channels and the Solo Dolo Car Club. In this policy, "we," "us" and "our" mean DaClassicLady.
What we collect
- What you send us, such as emails, messages on social media, photos of your car, your favorite driving song, or a garage feature submission.
- Club sign-ups, if you use the "Join the club" form: your email address, and if you choose to share them, your name or handle, your car and your favorite driving song. We never ask for your location.
- Membership details, if paid membership opens and you join: the details needed to manage your membership.
- Order information, if you buy merch once the shop opens: name, shipping address, email, and what you ordered. Payments are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
- Basic technical information: like every website, our host receives your IP address and browser type when you visit (see "Outside services" below).
How we use it
- To answer your messages and feature your submissions when you ask us to.
- To run the club, including Solo Together cruise night announcements and member updates you asked for.
- To process, ship and support merch orders.
- To keep the site secure and meet legal obligations.
Every club email will tell you how to unsubscribe. You can also reply "unsubscribe" or email us at any time, and we'll remove you.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your personal information.
- We don't run ads or advertising trackers on this site.
- We don't publish members' locations. When we feature a car or a drive, we leave out license plates, street names and home addresses.
Who we share it with
We share information only with services that help us run DaClassicLady, and only as much as they need: FormSubmit and Google (Gmail) for club sign-ups, our store platform, payment processor and shipping carriers once the shop opens, and our website host. We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or transfer of the brand.
Outside services and cookies
This site doesn't set its own cookies. Some parts of the page load from other companies, which receive your IP address when they do:
- GitHub Pages hosts the site and may log visits for security.
- FormSubmit delivers the "Join the club" form to our Gmail inbox and sends you a short confirmation email. It may use a captcha to block spam. Your sign-up is then kept in our Google (Gmail) account.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces.
- YouTube supplies the video cover images. When you click a video, it plays from YouTube's privacy-enhanced player or opens on YouTube, and YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
Links to Instagram, YouTube and other sites are covered by those sites' own privacy policies.
Do Not Track: the site doesn't respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no common standard for them yet. We don't track you across sites either way.
How long we keep it
We keep emails and submissions as long as they're useful for the club, or until you ask us to delete them. We keep order records as long as we need them for tax and accounting. Membership details are deleted after you leave the club.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we have about you, take down a feature of your car, or stop emailing you. Send your request to the address below and we'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under your local privacy law, and we'll honor them.
Security
We use reputable service providers and reasonable safeguards. No website is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children
DaClassicLady is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll also post a notice on the site or on our channels.
